Three Bridgeton residents were arrested with three guns after fleeing a motor vehicle stop in Atlantic City, according to police.
Officer Ivan Cruz conducted stopped three vehicles for speeding in the areas of Missouri and Fairmount avenues, Sgt. Paul Aristizabal said.
The vehicles were stopped just after 2 a.m. Thursday in the second block of South Arkansas Avenue.
The officer made contact with occupants of two of the vehicles, but found the third unoccupied, according to the report.
Brock Gould and a 16-year-old were found by Sgt. Brian Fleming and Officers Cruz and Danny Rodriguez.
After a brief foot pursuit, the two were taken into custody a short distance away, Aristizabal said.
The third occupant, Trayon Bennett, fled from Officer Ivaylo Penchev, but was also taken into custody without incident, according to the report.
Officers found a loaded handgun on the driver's side floor of the vehicle, Aristizabal said. Two more loaded guns were found just outside the vehicle.
All three were charged with three counts of unlawful possession of a weapon, along with two counts of possession of a high-capacity magazine, possession of hollow-point bullets, eluding, obstructing and conspiracy.
Gould, 30, and Bennett, 18, were taken to the Atlantic County Justice Facility. The juvenile was taken to the Ocean County Juvenile Detention Center.
