Seven people were wounded in an attack by dogs in Atlantic City.
Two juveniles were walking their dogs in a fenced-in area in the 1300 block of Baltic Avenue around 3:40 p.m. Tuesday, according to a preliminary investigation.
The dogs encountered a third dog, causing them to become aggressive and break free from the kids, Sgt. Paul Aristizabal said.
Without warning, the dogs then turned on the juveniles and started to attack them, he said.
Three more juveniles and two adults then got involved trying to help the victims. The dogs attacked the would-be rescuers as well, according to the report.

Officer John Bell arrived on scene and located two loose dogs and several injured individuals.
An employee of the city’s Engineer’s Office held down one of the dogs until Animal Control arrived and contained it, Aristizabal said.
The children bitten included two 13-year-olds, a 10-year-old, 15-year-old and 17-year-old. Two adults, ages 37 and 62, were also injured.
The victims were taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center’s City Campus for treatment of the injuries, which were not considered life-threatening.
Both dogs were eventually contained and remain in custody of Animal Control pending the outcome of the investigation.
