Pleasantville police investigating attempted luring of teen

  • News

Police are looking for a man who attempted to lure a 14-year-old girl in Pleasantville on Friday.

The girl told police she got off an NJ Transit bus at Franklin Boulevard and passed the vehicle as she walked down Main Street near Brighton, Capt. Stacey Schlachter said.

The man tried to get the girl's attention, but she continued walking and noticed him following her, according to the report.

She went up to landscapers she saw working around 700 N. Main St. and asked for their help calling police, Schlachter said.

The man then left the area.

The vehicle is described as a dark gray Honda Accord from around 2008 to 2012. The windows are tinted all around and there was an Uber and Lyft sign in the front windshield of the passenger side, according to the report.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 609-641-6100 or email supervisor@pleasantvillepd.org.
