Atlantic City man gets 19 years in deadly robbery

  • News

An Atlantic City man was sentenced to 19 years in prison Thursday in the fatal 2020 shooting of a man inside an Atlantic City hotel.

Wayne Brown, 25, was found on the 11th floor of the Madison Hotel just before noon Aug. 12, 2020.

Keshawn Faulkner was arrested four days later.

The shooting was caught on surveillance video, according to the affidavit of probable cause previously reported by BreakingAC.

Witnesses told police that Faulkner shot Brown while taking money from another man.

Faulkner was indicted in February 2021. He pleaded guilty last December to aggravated manslaughter, robbery and possession of a firearm for an unlawful purpose.

He must serve at least 85 percent of his sentence before he is eligible for parole under the No Early Release Act.
