Two Atlantic City men were arrested after an alleged drug deal overnight Sunday.
Sgt. Jefferson Rivera and Officers Giselle Garcia and Julian Monsalve were conducting surveillance in the first block of South Texas Avenue at about 12:20 a.m., when they saw two men engaged in a suspected drug deal, Sgt. Paul Aristizabal said.
The suspects' descriptions were broadcast to citywide patrol units.
Edwin Guzman, 53, was stopped about a block away by Officer Jesse Oliver-Logan and found with about 1 gram of suspected crack cocaine. he was arrested without incident, according to the report.
Nathaniel Seldon, 34, was seen moments later several blocks away by Officer Anthony Nastasi.
Seldon was found with about 11 grams of suspected crack cocaine and 82 wax folds — or about 33 grams — of suspected heroin, Aristizabal said
Guzman was charged with possession.
Seldon was charged with two counts each of possession, possession with intent to distribute and possession with intent to distribute in a school zone. He was also charged with one count of dispensing drugs.
Both were released on summonses.
