Brigantine man wounded in daytime Atlantic City shooting

A Brigantine man was wounded in a shooting Saturday afternoon in Atlantic City.

Police were called to Indiana and Hummock avenues just before 3 p.m. for the report of a man shot, Lt. Kevin Fair said.

Sgt. Mohammad Kaiser located the man suffering from a gunshot wound, and applied his department-issued tourniquet while awaiting medical personnel, Fair said.

The 41-year-old victim, whose name was not released, was taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center City Campus. His injury was not considered life-threatening.
