A threat made against a Somers Point Catholic school led to the cancelation of all church activities Sunday.
An investigation found the threat was not credible, Chief Robert Somers said.
The threat was made against St. Joseph Regional Catholic School at about 10 Sunday morning, he said.
Police checked the church, school and surrounding areas using bomb detection dogs. Nothing was located, and the area was deemed safe, Somers said.
Church activities were canceled "out of an abundance of caution."
An investigation led to the person responsible, and the threat was deemed not credible.
The chief said charges are pending.
