Millville man gets five years in Atlantic City gun case

  • News

A Millville man who led Atlantic City police on a foot chase while armed with two loaded guns was sentenced to five years in prison Thursday.

Marquise Milledge, 26, was arrested July 18, after police saw him drop a gun while were assisting with a large crowd in the 3000 block of the Boardwalk just before 4 a.m., according to the initial information in the case.

He picked up the gun and fled. When he was arrested, officers found another gun in his waistband.

Milledge has been jailed since his arrest.

His attorney argued for probation at sentencing, but Judge Bernard DeLury denied the request.

Milledge must serve at least one year before he is eligible for parole. He has been jailed almost eight months.
