A Pleasantville man was sentenced to four years in prison for resisting arrest and injuring an Atlantic City police officer.

Braxton Afifi, 26, pleaded guilty to resisting arrest during a domestic incident last summer.

Police responded to a domestic call Aug. 9, on Missouri Avenue.

Afifi resisted command to comply with his arrest. When police attempted to place him in custody, he stuck the police officer, causing injury.

He was also charged at the time with aggravated assault-strangulation of a domestic violence victim, aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer and obstruction.
