EHT fugitive arrested in armed domestic incident

  • News

An Egg Harbor Township man wanted for making threats with a gun is now in jail.

Officers were called to Penny Point Park Apartments on Hingston on April 10 for a physical domestic dispute involving a weapon, Detective Sgt. Richard Vogt said.

Shron Stotts, 32, fled the scene before officers arrived.

A Hamilton Township police K-9 unit assisted with a search and located a loaded "ghost gun," which has no serial number making it difficult to trace, according to the charges.

Attempts to locate Stotts were unsuccessful until Sunday.

Officer Rodrigo Pimentel saw Stotts driving in the area of Heathercroft Square, just across the street from where the incident occurred.

When Stotts parked the vehicle, Pimentel arrested him on the outstanding warrant, Vogt said.

He is in the Atlantic County Justice Facility pending a detention hearing, which was originally scheduled for Thursday.
