A Pleasantville man is in jail after an investigation linked him to a September bank robbery, police said.
A silent alarm was triggered Sept. 29, at the PNC Bank on the Black Horse Pike, Capt. Stacey Schlachter said.
Lt. David Aristizabal made contact with bank employees who confirmed there was a robbery in progress, according to the report.
The suspect fled as officers and detectives arrived, Schlachter said. No suspect was found.
An investigation led to the search of Jamarl Johnson's home Oct. 5, when investigators found a handgun and charged him with weapons offenses. He was released on a summons.
But more investigation that same day led to charges for the robbery, terroristic threats and theft, and he was jailed.
He is in the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
