A Millville man working as an armed security guard at Millville Senior High is jailed for forcing a student to have sex with him.
JT Banks, 54, is accused of engaging in "both consensual and non-consensual intercourse" with the 16-year-old from October through July.
Banks was assigned to the Senior High School as one of nine armed security guards with the district, according to the pilot episode of "Our Millville Schools" hosted by Superintendent Tony Trongone.
KD National Force Security based in Egg Harbor Township is contracted by the school district to provide security, employing retired law enforcement officers.
Banks formerly worked as a state prison corrections officer.
He was arrested Wednesday on second-degree charges of sexual assault with force, endangering the welfare of a child and sexual assault for sex with a victim ages 16 or 17 while in a supervisory role.
Banks has since been terminated and is no longer an employee of the security company, a KD representative told BreakingAC.
Banks is in the Cumberland County Correctional Facility pending a detention hearing.
Anyone with information relating to the investigation is asked to contact Millville Police Detective Robert Vit at 856-825-7010.
