A Ventnor man was fatally struck as he walked on Wellington Avenue on Friday evening.
Vincent Carulli, 81, crossed around the 5200 block of Wellington just east of Little Rock Avenue at about 6:25 p.m., and started walking east not in a designated crosswalk, according to the investigation.
He was struck by a car driven by 64-year-old Frank Gitto III, also of Ventnor, Chief Joe Fussner said.
Carulli was taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead.
Summons is pending investigation.
