An Atlantic City murder suspect was badly injured when he jumped out a third-floor window at Schoolhouse Apartments on Tuesday morning.

Jamar Jones, 35, was wanted in connection to the Nov. 7 killing of Luis Rosa Rodriguez, who was fatally shot in the first block of South Florida Avenue, according to the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office.

An investigation by the Prosecutor's Office Major Crimes Unit and Atlantic City Police Department's Violent Crimes Unit led to 61 N. Martin Luther King Blvd. at about 8:30 Tuesday morning.

He was charged Dec. 11, and had been a fugitive since that time.

Jones is charged with murder, possession of a firearm for an unlawful purpose, possession of a handgun without a permit to carry and possession of a firearm by a certain person.

Jones sustained serious but not life-threatening injuries from the fall.
