Three Atlantic City men charged after an alleged drug deal Wednesday were arrested with active warrants, police said.
Detective James Barrett was conducting surveillance in the first block of South Bellevue Avenue when he saw the three men loitering, Lt. Kevin Fair said.
Jayquan Granderson was seen in an apparent drug deal with Patrick Novack, according to the report.
Novack, 39, was stopped as he left the area, and found with a small amount of cocaine along with paraphernalia commonly used to take the drug, Fair said.
Granderson, 23, was found with 21 grams of cocaine and more than $500 in cash, according to the charges.
Naheem Prater, 22, was arrested with 50 individual bags of heroin and eight vials of cocaine, Fair said.
The men were charged on summonses, but wound up heading to jail because of the active warrants.
Novack was not processed at the jail, records show.
Granderson was released Friday.
Prater, who has active drug and gun cases, remained in the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
