The Boardwalk is now directly located in Flavortown as a new restaurant and takeout joint opens today.
Chicken Guy, the brainchild of restaurateur and celebrity chef Guy Fieri, opens 11 a.m. Tuesday at Resorts.
Guests can enjoy big portions of hand-breaded chicken slathered in their choice of 11 signature sauces. I tried the hot honey at the friends and family practice round Monday night.
There’s loaded fries, loaded slaw and a ton of milkshake flavors too.
Think of Chicken Guy as elevated fast food.
The first thing you will notice about your sandwich is that there are not one, but two big tenders. The chicken was well-flavored and crispy. It’s served on a soft brioche bun with thinly sliced tomatoes and shaved lettuce with the perfect amount of sauce. Add some loaded fries and you are good to go.
You will have to budget for casino pricing.
A sandwich, fries and drink will set you back around 20 bucks. With the threat of surge pricing among chain places coupled with inflation, that’s not horrible.
Plus, this place will serve as a welcomed lifeline to starving surfers, beach goers and North Beach hotel guests that want to grab a sack of good take out and head up to the room for the night.
Don’t sleep on Resorts when you need a quick bite.
Chicken Guy at the boards, along with other choices located in the food court area inside the casino are great when you don’t have the time or the scratch for fine dining.
