A Galloway Township man died in a shooting Thursday night in Pleasantville.
Baseem Taliaferro, 38, was found dead inside a home in the first block of West Pleasant Avenue, the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office said.
Police were called to the residence just after 11 p.m. for a call of shots fired, according to the report.
Taliaferro had at least one gunshot wound to his torso. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The cause and manner of death are pending an autopsy.
This incident is currently being investigated by the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office’s Major Crimes Unit and the Pleasantville Police Department.
