An Atlantic City is jailed on multiple gun and drug charges after a raid led to five pounds of marijuana and two guns reported stolen, police said.
Qumar Gilliam-Winborn Jr., 19, was arrested Thursday, after a search of his home in the 1600 block of Adriatic Avenue by members of the city's Special Investigations Section and the SWAT team.
One gun was reported stolen from Washington, D.C., with the other stolen from North Carolina, Capt. Kevin Fair said.
One of the handguns was equipped with a device that turned it from a semi-automatic weapon to fully automatic, Fair said.
Gilliam-Winborn was the target of the investigation led by Detective Eric Evans.
He is charged with two counts each of unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon while committing a drug offense and receiving stolen property, along with one count each of possession of hollow-point ammunition, possession of a high-capacity magazine, possession with intent to distribute, possession with intent to distribute within a school zone, possession of CDS with intent to distribute within a public zone, maintaining a drug-production facility and and money laundering.
Gilliam-Winborn is in the Atlantic County Justice Facility pending a detention hearing.
