Residents looking for some free furniture hit the jackpot at the Golden Nugget on Wednesday.
The casino's multimillion-dollar hotel renovation includes an overhaul of its rooms and suites.
So, with things like mattresses, pillows, couches, lamps, tables and chairs on their way out, the casino partnered with Mayor Marty Small to offer them free to residents.
The giveaway began at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday. It was supposed to run until 8 p.m., and reopen Thursday. But everything was gone by 5 p.m. Wednesday.
