A pedestrian was killed in a hit-and-run Thursday night in Galloway Township.
Police were called to Route 30 westbound near Seventh Avenue just before 8 p.m.
The victim was identified as 33-year-old Angeletta Sheppard.
The suspect vehicle left the scene before law enforcement arrived, according to the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office.
The vehicle was found nearby, a source told BreakingAC. It is registered to a woman but a man was driving.
The Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office’s Crash Investigations Unit and the Galloway Township Police Department are cooperatively investigating this incident.
