A Texas teenager was arrested Saturday, after he allegedly burglarized a home in Egg Harbor Township.

Police were called to the township's Scullville section Saturday afternoon, according to the complaint.

When police arrived, the caller gave them a description of a a white man with blond hair wearing a gray sweatshirt and camouflage pants, Lt. Ernest Dunson said.

Officers learned that the suspect fled toward a nearby street, and set up a perimeter of the area, according to the report.

Zachary Watts, 18, of Colleyville, Texas, was found and taken into custody without incident, Dunson said.

He was found in possession of stolen property belonging to the residence, according to the report..

Watts entered the home by tearing the screen of a basement window, an investigation found. At the time of the burglary, the residence was unoccupied.

After gaining entry, Watts made his way to the master bedroom’s bathroom, where he stole additional property, Dunson said.

The homeowner returned home during the burglary and confronted Watts in the living room and kitchen area, Dunson said. Watts fled back downstairs and exited the home through the same basement window.

Watts is charged with burglary, theft, criminal mischief, trespassing and possession of a prescription drug. He was released from jail with conditions Monday, after the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office opted not to file a motion for detention.
