A Barnegat woman was killed in a crash on the Atlantic City Expressway just before noon Thursday.
A Hyundai Kona and Genesis GV80 were heading east on the expressway when the Hyundai's driver came to a stop in the left lane at milepost 4.8 in Pleasantville, according to a preliminary investigation by State Police.
The Genesis then rear-ended the stopped vehicle.
The Hyundai driver, an 80-year-old woman from Barnegat, was killed, Sgt. Jeffrey Lebron said.
Her identity is being withheld pending next of kin notification.
The crash remains under investigation, and no additional information is available.
