A Galloway Township man accused of secretly recording men inside bathroom stalls for months at various locations was indicted Thursday.
Daniel Zhang, 23, was indicted on 15 counts of third-degree invasion of privacy.
He first was charged Sept. 16, after Hamilton Township police were called to the Planet Fitness.
Zhang told police he recorded by standing in one stall, and then lifting his cell phone so it recorded a stall on the other side of the barrier.
He had seen the victim at the gym one or two times before, and had recorded him one other time, according to the affidavit of probable previously reported by BreakingAC.
The details indicate the victim was going to the bathroom.
Zhang was asked if he had any other recordings on his phone and said, "like four" over the past couple of months, and said one was at a Wawa.
He said he recorded them because of "attraction" to the men, according to the affidavit.
Zhang was charged on a summons at the time, and released.
But an investigation found 49 videos on his phone of unidentified victims that started May 27.
Nineteen of the incidents took place in Mays Landing, the affidavit states. Other locations included Egg Harbor City, Medford in Burlington County and Bermuda.
Zhang's address is listed as Egg Harbor City, but BreakingAC has confirmed with other agencies that his address is in Galloway Township.
He was released from jail March 10, following a detention hearing during which Judge Joseph Levin called his decision a close call.
Zhang must check in with the court weekly, alternating between in-person and via phone. He also cannot use a cell phone with a camera.
