A Egg Harbor Township man died in a crash early Monday morning.
William Hadley, 64, was heading west on the Black Horse Pike when he rear-ended a privately owned trash and recycling truck driven by Juan Taveras-Trinidad, who also was westbound.
Hadley was pronounced dead at the scene.
Taveras-Trinidad, 40, of Pleasantville, was not injured.
Traffic was diverted for several hours while police investigated the incident. The Township of Hamilton Rescue Squad, AtlantiCare Paramedics, the New Jersey Department of Transportation and the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office assisted at the scene.
An investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing.
