Atlantic City police investigating multiple shots fired

A ShotSpotter alert brought police to Atlantic City's Chelsea section Wednesday night.

The audio gunshot-detection system along with 911 calls alerted police at 9:50 p.m., Capt. Kevin Fair said.

A crime scene was located in the first block of South Elberon Avenue, containing evidence of gunfire, he said. There is no known victim.  

At least five to six shots were fired, a witness told BreakingAC

The Violent Crimes Unit is investigating.
