Fire burns two Atlantic City homes, displaces eight

A fire burned two homes in Atlantic City on Saturday.

The blaze began at 2618 Monterey Avenue and spread to 2616, Fire Chief Scott Evans said.

Two families of four were displaced. The Red Cross is assisting, he said.

Two firefighters were injured, Evans said. One suffered heat exhaustion and the other minor burns.
