Tropicana is set to host a loaded boxing card this month led by "Mr. Atlantic City," Justin Figueroa.
Boxing Insider Promotions brings a lineup heavy on local talent and broadcast live on DAZN.
The March 22 event begins at 7 p.m. with doors opening at 6:30 p.m.
Figueroa (11-0, 9 KOs) will put his perfect record on the line in a six-round super welterweight showdown against Argentina’s Mario Rios (10-3-1, 7 KOs).
Figueroa — with nine of his 11 wins knockouts — faces a battle-tested Rios, who has only fallen to undefeated foes, setting the stage for a thrilling clash.
Atlantic City boxing royalty continues with Bruce Seldon Jr. (4-0, 3 KOs), son of the city’s first world heavyweight champion. Seldon Jr. takes on Gabriel Costa in a four-round heavyweight bout.
Berlin, Camden County’s Damian Tinnerello (4-0, 4 KOs), a 2020 USA Youth National Championships finalist, brings his perfect knockout record to a four-round super welterweight bout against Washington, D.C.’s Tremaine Fuller (3-1, 1 KO).
Fellow unbeaten super welterweight Kahshad Elliott (4-0, 4 KOs), a multi-time national amateur champion, also competes in a four-rounder, with his opponent yet to be named.
Pleasantville’s Julio Sanchez III, son of former pro welterweight and local firefighter Julio Sanchez, will make his pro debut at lightweight. Sanchez III faces Douglas Leon Diggs in a four-round debut, building on his amateur experience from Boxing Insider’s AC PAL Tropicana’s November card.
Adding to the Garden State lineup, Cali Box (4-0, 2 KOs) squares off against Victor Pradis (2-2-1, 0 KOs) in a four-round welterweight contest. Box aims to keep his undefeated run alive against the gritty Pradis.
The featured TV match showcases light heavyweight Vlad Panin (21-1, 13 KOs) in an eight-round clash against an opponent TBD, bringing international punch to the card.
More fighters will be added.
This is the fourth event since May hosted by Atlantic City native Larry Goldberg.
"We’re committed to building a local series for Atlantic City fighters and are excited to once again welcome the Atlantic City PAL boxing program to the show," Goldberg said.
Goldberg, who also regularly promotes at Sony Hall in Times Square, is driving the resurgence of boxing on the Boardwalk.
The event is sponsored locally by the Medical Aesthetic Center of Marmora, D’Arcy Johnson Day Lawyers, and AC Breakz.
