First-responders don't always get to see a happy ending.

But on Monday, Egg Harbor Township Emergency Medical Services, police and dispatch joined together to get to see their very own.

This feel good story came in the form of a sweet baby girl aptly named Miamor.

The bundle of love was born Thursday with the help of several township workers who answered the call when she decided to make her debut before her mother, Sarah, could get to the hospital.

Dispatcher Juliet Lipari took the call and was able to keep things calm for mom while police officers and EMS were directed to Sarah who was in the passenger seat on the Black Horse Pike at 4:38 a.m.

Officer Heidi Wollermann then arrived on scene and began talking to Sarah, keeping the mom calm as the baby was definitely coming.

EMTs Jillian Mellish and Bill Shallcross arrived on scene just in time to help deliver the baby girl.

Mom and baby then were taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center's Mainland Campus in Galloway Township, where they all got to visit mother and child Monday.

Both are healthy and heading home Tuesday.

"It’s not often that we get to celebrate life," township Emergency Medical Services wrote in a Facebook post marking the special visit. "This was a special moment for all those involved."

"Very proud of the crews ability to remain calm, and their experience, along with their professionalism was on full display," the post read.

"We all LOVE a happy ending," Egg Harbor Township police wrote in their post. "This little lady’s delivery was truly a team effort."

Mom and baby are heading home Tuesday.
