[gallery type="slideshow" size="large" ids="1828,1829,1830,1831"] Atlantic City police are asking for the public's help in identifying a suspect in two armed robberies using a knife — including one that left a clerk wounded. On Friday, police were called to a store in the 1300 block of Pacific Avenue just after 4 p.m. The 71-year-old clerk told Officer Brent Dooley that a man pointed a knife at him and demanded money, according to the report. The suspect fled with an undisclosed amount of cash. The clerk was not injured. On Sunday, Officer Martina Martin responded to a panic alarm at a store in the 1400 block of Atlantic Avenue at about 12:20 p.m. Martin found the store clerk had suffered a stab wound fighting off a man who tried to rob him at knife point, Sgt. Kevin Fair said. The clerk, a 27-year-old man, was taken to the AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center's City Campus, where he was treated and released. The suspect in both incidents is described as an approximately 5-foot-8 black male about 20 to 25 years old weighing about 140 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black sweatshirt, black jeans and an article of clothing covering the bottom portion of his face. Anyone who may know the suspect's name or have information about the incidents is asked to call police at 609-347-5766 or Crime Stoppers at 609-652-1234. Information may also be texted anonymously to tip411 (847411) beginning the text with ACPD.
