Fugitive one of two indicted in Atlantic City killing

Two men have been indicted in the fatal shooting of an Atlantic City man in August.

Aaron Callahan, 32, and Kenneth Creek, 48, are charged with murder, conspiracy and weapons offenses in the killing of Jordan Eaddy.

The 31-year-old city man was found dead just after midnight Aug. 25, in the 1300 block of Baltic Avenue.

Callahan was seen reaching into his waistband and giving the gun to Creek right before the killing, according to the affidavit of probable cause previously obtained by BreakingAC.

Creek then walked over to Eaddy and shot him, according to information from witnesses and findings by investigators, the affidavit states.

Callahan and Creek then ran.

Kenneth Creek is being sought.

Creek has been wanted since a failure to appear in a terrorist threats case from last year, court records show.

During his detention hearing, Callahan’s attorney said he did not know the gun was going to be used to kill someone.

He “was very sincere in the fact that he had no idea that this is what was going to happen,” defense attorney Christina Naughton told the judge. “He is extremely remorseful for any conduct the he had done that would help come about this result.”

Naughton said her client was friends with the victim.

Callahan remains in the Atlantic County Justice Facility.

In addition to the murder and weapon charges, Creek additionally faces a second-degree certain persons charge for having a weapon as a convicted felon.

Anyone who knows Creek’s whereabouts is asked to call 911 or the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office at 609-909-7800. Information may also be texted anonymously to tip411 (847411) beginning the text with ACPD.
