Damage to a home on Iowa Avenue in Atlantic City.

  • News

Atlantic City firefighters were able to quickly get a fire under control, leaving no one displaced, the city's fire chief said.

The fire was outside the fourth floor of the four-story building in the 100 block of North Iowa Avenue, Fire Chief Scott Evans said.

A quick stop by Engines 2 and 6 and Ladder 2 kept the fire from spreading to the adjacent home, he said.

The fire was a block from the Police Department and about three from Fire Station No. 4.

The fire was outside the fourth floor.
