An Atlantic City teen died after he was shot in the city early Sunday morning.
Police received several 911 calls before 1 a.m. Sunday, alerting them to a shooting that wounded a male.
The 17-year-old was found with a gunshot wound to the head, and was rushed to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center's City Campus. He was pronounced dead at 1:21 a.m.
The Prosecutor's Office Major Crimes Unit is investigating the killing.
The victim's name is not being officially released at this time, acting Atlantic County Prosecutor Diane Ruberton said. No reason was given.
