Daily complaints from Atlantic City residents, merchants and visitors resulted in 55 arrests last week, police said.
The charges included various drug-related offenses, prostitution, active warrants and other crimes, Sgt. Kevin Fair said.
Officers seized more than 650 bags of heroin, 200 bags of cocaine, an ounce of unpackaged cocaine, three ounces of marijuana and an assortment of prescription pills, he said. They also seized more than $10,000 from drug dealers and illegal sales.
The forfeited money can be used by police departments for things such as officer training, new equipment and maintain existing equipment. All purchases must be approved by the county prosecutor.
Officers also issued 133 ordinance violations for a variety of quality of life issues, including open containers, drinking in public and urinating in public.
