More than love was going on at the Inn of the Dove, according to police.
When officers from the Egg Harbor Township, Brigantine and Atlantic County SWAT searched a couple's hotel room Wednesday morning, they allegedly found a variety of drugs, packaging equipment and cash.
There were 150 individually packaged wax packets of suspected heroin, a quantity of suspected cocaine, prescription drugs and marijuana inside the room, police said. They also found empty wax folds used to package heroin, smoking pipes and $810 in cash.
John Waugh IV, 34, of Vineland, and Dawn Bolton, 36, of Egg Harbor Township, were both arrested and charged with four counts of possession (heroin, cocaine, prescription drugs and marijuana), two counts of distribution (heroin and cocaine) and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Waugh was also wanted on two outstanding warrants out of Cumberland and Atlantic counties for prior drug arrests. He was lodged in the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
Bolton was released on a summons under the new bail reform, police said.
