  • News
Pleasantville police have arrested one teen and are seeking another in a robbery and theft from last month. A woman was at Max Manning Field with her young daughter just before 1 p.m. Oct. 15, when three juveniles approached her, she told police. One of the teens grabbed her purse from her baby stroller and ran, Capt. Matt Hartman said. Another grabbed her cell phone and pushed her to the ground. The woman said there was a third juvenile, but he did not participate, according to the report. General Investigations Detective Michael Figueroa, under the supervision of Detective Sgt. Mark Porter, identified all three juveniles involved, Hartman announced Thursday. A 14-year-old Pleasantville boy was charged with theft for stealing the purse, and arrested. A 13-year-old Pleasantville boy is charged with robbery for taking the cell phone, but is still being sought, Hartman said. The third teen was found to be a missing person and was returned to a parent. The names are not being released due to the age of the suspects.
