Men allegedly stole thousands in jewelry and a handgun in EHT burglaries

Two men allegedly stole thousands of dollars in jewelry along with a 9mm handgun in three Egg Harbor Township burglaries. John Totoro and Jason Sage were arrested after an investigation led by Detectives Richard Vogt and Scott Hiltner into three burglaries over two days in November. The men allegedly stole jewelry, watches, a cell phone and the gun, which still has not been found, Detective Sgt. Michael Finnerty said. Sage, 31, of the township, and Totoro, 55, of Galloway, have been charged with three counts each of burglary and conspiracy to commit burglary, two counts each of theft and criminal mischief and one count of theft of a handgun. Totoro was additionally charged with possession of heroin. Both were taken to the Atlantic County Justice Facility. Anyone with additional information regarding these cases or the whereabouts of the stolen handgun is asked to contact Egg Harbor Township police at 609-926- 4051 or Atlantic County Crime Stoppers at 609-652-1234.
