A Pleasantville man is accused of running a drug-production facility after detectives raided his home Thursday morning following a five-week investigation.
Shawn Jackson, 33, had 300 bags of heroin, an ounce of unpackaged heroin, a half-pound of marijuana, an ounce of cocaine and $11,475 in cash at his home on the 200 block of Ridgewood Avenue, Atlantic County Prosecutor Damon Tyner said.
He is charged with first-degree maintaining a narcotics-production facility, along with charges of possession with the intent to distribute, possession of heroin and cocaine and distribution within 500 feet of a public park.
“This is not a warning," Tyner said of the arrest. "This is a promise to continue to protect the safety and quality of life for Atlantic County residents and visitors. Drug dealers should be aware that if you manufacture, possess and sell drugs in Atlantic County, the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office’s Gangs, Guns and Narcotics Unit, with the cooperative efforts of our law enforcement partners will work diligently to find you, arrest and charge you to the fullest extent of the law.
The prosecutor applauded the hard work and commitment of his unit and their law enforcement partners.
The Atlantic County Regional SWAT Team, and the Pleasantville, Absecon and the Little Egg Harbor Township police departments assisted in the execution of the search warrant.
Jackson is being held in the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
