Four arrested, drugs and handguns seized in Atlantic City

Atlantic City police arrested four people and seized guns, drugs and ammunition after a two-month investigation. Terique McCray, the target of the investigation, was arrested at about 11:45 a.m. Wednesday as he left his home in the 1600 block of City Place, Sgt. Kevin Fair said. Inside his home, police found about 460 bags of heroin, handgun ammunition and $2,909 in cash believed to be from drug sales, according to the report. Two men and a woman were also arrested inside the home. Detective Brian Hambrecht, who led the investigation, also searched McCray’s car with his K-9 partner, Nikki. There, they found another 10 bags of heroin and two loaded handguns, Fair said. One of the guns had hollow-point ammunition and had been reported stolen from Alabama, Fair said.
[gallery columns="2" ids="9377,9376"] McCray, 36, and Juannae Gordy, 21, both of Atlantic City, were charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance, possession with intent to distribute, possession with within 500 feet of a public zone, possession within a school zone, unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon while committing a drug offense, certain person not to possess a weapon, receiving stolen property and possession of hollow-point ammunition.. They were taken to the Atlantic County Justice Facility. Arnold Rice, 24, and Hamilton Barkus, 47, both of Atlantic City, were charged with various drug offenses and released on summonses.
