An 18-year-old Mays Landing woman was mugged as she walked home from work late Friday night, police said.
Hamilton Township police were called to the area of Wrangleboro Road and Timber Glen Drive at 12:02 a.m. Saturday.
The victim told police she was walking home when an unknown man approached her from behind, forced her to the ground and took her phone and purse, according to the report.
The woman was not injured and no weapon was used.
The suspect then ran. He is described as a 5-foot7 thin black male in his early 20s. He was wearing a light gray zip-up hoodie, dark shorts and black shoes.
