Buena man's death attributed to COVID-19 complications

A 56-year-old Buena man with pre-existing health conditions is the latest Atlantic County death attributed complications from COVID-19 .
The county also reported 39 newly confirmed positive cases among 19 men ages 19 to 90 and 20 women, ages 24 to 98.
There have been 518 positive tests among county residents, with 108 now recovered. There have been 23 deaths as of Wednesday's numbers.
Egg Harbor Township has seven new cases, with six in Galloway Township, five in Pleasantville and four in Linwood.  Absecon, Atlantic City and Hamilton Township each have three new cases and Egg Harbor City has two. Buena Borough, Estell Manor, Folsom, Hammonton, Margate and Northfield each have one new positive resident.The number of confirmed positives are expected to increase as there is more testing available in the area.Atlantic County is accepting appointments at its drive-thru site for the next testing day, Thursday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Atlantic City will start testing qualifying residents next week at two sites.
For all sights, residents must be symptomatic for respiratory illness, provide a doctor’s script, proof of residency and confirmation of appointment.
Appointments can be made on the county website: https://www.atlantic-county.org/covid/Those who are unable to keep their appointment are asked to cancel so someone else can fill their spot.
