A pedestrian was fatally struck Sunday night in Egg Harbor Township, after crossing the Black Horse Pike in front of a Jeep, police said.
Jesse Oliver-Logan was driving west when Pedro Silva walked across the pike near Palermo Avenue just after 8 p.m., and was struck.
Silva, 44, of Pleasantville, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Oliver-Logan, 26, of the township, stayed at the scene. There were no reports of injuries to him.
Officers Nick Poletis and Ed Stearns, and Sgt. Larry Graham are investigating this crash.
Traffic was detoured for about five hours during the investigation.
