Five arrested after Atlantic City officer sees man brandish gun

Five people were arrested after an Atlantic City officer allegedly saw a man brandishing a gun in the parking lot of a motel Sunday night.
Those arrested included a well-known local video producer who had been filming at that location, sources told BreakingAC.
Officer Kevin Perez saw a group in the rear parking lot of the Martinique Motel going between a motel room and a vehicle at about 8 p.m., Sgt. Kevin Fair said.
Rumiejah Norwood was then seen brandishing a gun at one of the women, and then the two rushed into the motel room, according to the report.
Perez and other officers responded to the room, setting up a perimeter and detaining two people outside. Those inside the room were ordered to exit, and did without any issues, Fair said.
Police seized the handgun, along with marijuana and paraphernalia used for drug distribution, according to the report.
Norwood and four others had active warrants and were arrested.
Among them was Anthony Archetto, who had been working on a video with Norwood, who records as MGB Racks.
It was not clear if the things inside the room were part of the video.
Norwood, 25, was charged with unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, aggravated assault, certain person not to possess a weapon, possession of a controlled dangerous substance, possession of CDS paraphernalia and contempt of court.
Archetto, 27, also was found with two Ecstasy tablets, Fair said.
He along with Simone Gantz, 50; Monica Hopewell, 30, and Nimira Thomas, 24, were arrested on drug charges and their warrants.
Norwood, Archetto and Thomas were taken to the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
Gantz and Hopewell were released on summonses.
Four others were released at the scene but faces drug possession and paraphernalia charges. They are Ellis Nah’Jajuan Nadir, 18; Barry Farmer, 27; Thomas Benjamin, 30, and Jeffery Robinson, 29.All are from Atlantic City except Thomas, who lives in Pleasantville.
