Man wounded in Pleasantville shooting

A man was shot multiple times in Pleasantville just after 10 p.m. Sunday, police said.
Police were called to the 200 block of Abbey Lane just by an alert from the audio gunshot-detection system, ShotSpotter, which registered six rounds at 10:03 p.m., Capt. Matt Hartman said.
The shooting happened about 300 feet from the police station.
As officers responded, the saw James Smith III walking in nearby with gunshot wounds to his abdomen and leg, Hartman said.
Smith, 28, of Pleasantville, was taken to the Trauma Unit at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center's City Campus by TriCare EMS and AtlantiCare paramedics.
An investigation found a parked car and home near the scene were also struck.
