(WARNING: Description of nature of assault may be disturbing for some.)
An Atlantic City man accused of trying to sexually assault a woman on the street will remain in jail.
Kelsey Wilkinson told the judge he works youth outreach and has been trying to change his life.
"I'm a pillar to the community," he said.
But the charges indicate otherwise.
Wilkinson, 30, allegedly walked up to the victim and her girlfriend June 6, screaming, "Both of you get on your knees," while ripping his pants off, according to the affidavit of probable cause.
He then grabbed the woman by her hair, lifted her up and slammed her to the ground, the charges claim.
Wilkinson then straddled the victim, and "attempted to forcibly insert his penis into her mouth," Judge Sara Beth Johnson read from the affidavit.
Both women tried to fight him off, and were able to escape with the help of neighbors.
Atlantic City police did not release information about the incident, which was captured on surveillance video.
Johnson ordered Wilkinson detained.
Wilkinson, who was on video from the jail, apparently did not agree with that decision.
"I see you yelling into the camera," Johnson said. "I'm not going to take you off mute. There's nothing you can say right now that will change my decision."
The public live stream did not show Wilkinson's alleged outburst.
"I can see that Mr. Wilkinson is very agitated," the judge continued. "He's got himself very close to the camera."
Wilkinson will remain jailed.
