Six people were arrested after police allegedly discovered a drug-manufacturing facility in two Atlantic City apartments, including nine live marijuana plants.
The two month investigation brought detectives to the first block of South Texas Avenue, where they also recovered nearly 60 grams of suspected crack cocaine, 120 buprenorphine and naloxone sublingual film packets and 12 wax folds of suspected heroin, along with more than an ounce of marijuana, Sgt. Paul Aristizabal said.
Police walked in the kitchen of one apartment at 3:17 p.m. to find Daniel Uribe, Linda Bones and Anthony Whittaker processing cocaine, including using a lades that contained cooked cocaine, spoons with narcotics residue and scales, according to the report.
Jose Santiago Sr., Jose Santiago Jr. and Bethany Fitch were in the other apartment with nine live marijuana plants along with suspected heroin and crack cocaine Aristizabal said.
The investigation was led by Detectives Christopher Dodson and James Barrett.
Uribe, 35, and Bones, 34, both of Atlantic City, along with Whittaker, 44, of Bridgeton, were jailed on charges of maintaining a drug-production facility, possession of drug paraphernalia, and two counts each of possession, possession with intent to distribute and possession within a school zone.
Both Santiagos, ages 48 and 30, of Atlantic City, along with Fitch, 38, of Somers Point, were charged with possession, including more than 6 ounces of marijuana, and released on summonses.
