A small child had to be airlifted from a crash that injured another young girl Friday night in Galloway Township.
Christina Porter was traveling without her headlights on at about 6:45 p.m., when she collided with a truck driven by Robert Bardenhagen, police said.
Bardenhagen, 56, of Galloway, had just entered the intersection to make a left onto Pitney Road from Highland Avenue when he collided with Porter's car, according to the report.
Porter, 32, also of Galloway Township, was traveling north on South Pitney Road, police said.
Two girls ages 2 and 5 were also involved.
Bardenhagen suffered minor injuries and was sent to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center's Mainland Campus in Galloway, along one of the girls. The other girl was airlifted to Cooper University Hospital with serious injuries.
A section of the road was closed for about two hours while the crash was investigated and scene cleared.
The accident is being investigated by Officer Cody Trout. Anyone with information asked to call the officer at 609-652-3705, ext. 5117.
