An Egg Harbor Township teen was seriously injured when he was struck riding his bike Monday afternoon.
Andrew Gonzalez, 18, was riding in the shoulder eastbound on the Black Horse Pike when he crossed into the path of an SUV around Uibel Avenue, Lt. Cherie Burgan said.
The driver, Dana Sessoms, struck Gonzalez, who was thrown to the ground, according to the report.
Gonzalez was taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center's City Campus in Atlantic City with serious injuries, Burgan said.
Neither Sessoms nor her passengers reported injuries.
The crash is being investigated by Officers Nicolas Poletis, Robert Moran and Edward Stearns.
Traffic was detoured about two hours while the crash was investigated.
