Galloway men plead guilty to drugs and 'community gun'

Ibin Ingrum

  • News

Two Galloway Township men admitted to intent to distribute fentanyl along with a community gun.

Ibin Ingrum, 19, and Robert Gunter, 40, both pleaded guilty to two second-degree charges Monday before Judge Donna Taylor.

Community guns are those that are shared by individuals and may have been used in multiple crimes.

Both men were arrested in July 2022, after a five-week investigation into drugs and guns.

During a warranted search at a home in Galloway, a safe in an upstairs bedroom was found to have a mixture of more three ounces of fluorofentanyl, despropionyl fluorofentanyl, fluorophenethyl 4-ANPP, and xylazine.

Police also found 10 wax folds packaged for sale that contained a mixture of fluorofentanyl, fentanyl, phenethyl 4-ANPP, and xylazine; a baggie containing about one ounce of methamphetamine; two digital scales, and documents with Ingrum's and Gunter's names.

There were also two handguns in the upstairs and attic areas of the residence, along with ammunition and extended-capacity magazines.

Gunter was in Recovery Court at the time of his arrest in a similar drugs and guns case out of Northfield.

He was not named when police first reported about Ingrum's arrest, which included another co-defendant who previously pleaded guilty.

Ingrum faces a seven-year term under the plea agreement with 3½ years of parole ineligibility.

Gunter faces a 10-year sentence with four years of parole ineligibility.

The case was investigated and prosecuted by the Gangs, Guns and Narcotics Unit of the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office.

Both men are scheduled to be sentenced Sept. 11. They remain in the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
