Gloria Rives was walking along an Atlantic City sidewalk, when she fell.
The 64-year-old woman who walks with a cane screamed for help, but no one came.
Then, she saw Victor.
The man, who lives in the park, rushed to her aid.
Rives bruised her lip and teeth. But it was her heart that was struck that day.
Her daughter Paris Tobias went to the man — who lives with his dog, Precious — and brought him some money and a message that she would always come back.
"I said I will forever take care of him," she wrote. "He'll always be part of this family."
The video got more than a half-million views, and comments of support, along with ideas of how to help Victor.
"I wish I could find him a place to stay but for now I'll make sure he's good," Tobias wrote.
Some suggested she could do that by buying him a tent. She did.
Follow-up videos showed her shopping for the tent and then giving it to him.
Some suggested she set up an Amazon wish list. A GoFundMe is already up with a goal of $5,000. It had surpassed $1,500 as of Sunday afternoon.
Victor's wife has been ill in the hospital, Tobias wrote on the GoFundme.
"I really want to find him a home or at least some nights in a hotel for the holidays," she said.
