Three Atlantic City juveniles were arrested with guns Monday afternoon, police said.
Vice officers were conducting surveillance in the 1800 block of Hummock Avenue in response to complaints about drug activity and quality-of-life issues, Sgt. Paul Aristizabal said.
They saw the three teens and a man engaged in a drug deal, according to the report.
The 15-year-old and two 16-year-olds were found in possession of handguns, Aristizabal said.
The man, 30-year-old Michael Mack, was in possession of drugs, according to the charges. He was released on a summons.
Detectives recovered two Glock 40-caliber handguns and a Taurus 9mm, Aristizabal said.
They also recovered about 20 grams of cocaine, numerous Alprazolam pills and nearly $400 believed to be the proceeds from drug sales, according to the report.
The operation was led by Detective Eric Evans with assistance from Vice detectives and officers from the Patrol Division under the supervision of Sgt. James Herbert.
All three teens were charged with unlawful possession of a weapon.
The 15-year-old was additionally charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance, possession of more than a half-ounce of cocaine and possession of a weapon during a drug offense.
The 16-year-olds were additionally charged with loitering for a controlled dangerous substance.
All three are in the Harbor Fields Juvenile Detention Center.
